On June 21, Quang Ninh Management Board of Economic Zones has collaborated with Mong Cai City People’s Committee to organize a meeting to sum up 15 years to implement policies and mechanisms in the Mong Cai border gate zone and announce the decision of Mong Cai border gate economic zone establishment. Mr. Dang Huy Hau, vice-chairman of QNPPC attended the meeting.
At the meeting, representative leaders of some districts, towns, functional authorities, as well as enterprises have highly valued the role as well as special advantages of the Mong Cai border gate zone. Accordingly, with the vital role of a dynamic axis with two corridors and one coastal economic belt of the Tokin Gulf, Mong Cai needs to be granted with more particular incentives in order to improve investment environment and implement the plans of each area.
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice-Chairman of QNPPC Dang Huy Hau made an affirmation that the State mechanisms and policies applied for the border gate economic zone has created a strong impetus for the development of Mong Cai city, surrounding areas and enterprises within the city.
Mr. Dang Huy Hau emphasized that to implement the Decision 19 by the PM to be effectively, he requested the Management Board of the Economic Zones as well as Mong Cai city People’s Committee to have tight collaboration with each other especially in the State management of the border gate economic zone. He also required Mong Cai City People’s Committee to rapidly draw plans for infrastructure, wharves; intensify land management as well as create an open and flexible investment environment for all fields, especially for the prioritized ones.
