On September 26, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Van Thang chaired a meeting on planning a number of FDI projects in the province.
As reported, to date, Quang Ninh currently has 124 FDI projects conducted in the province with total investment capital of over US $ 6.6 billion, greatly contributing to socio-economic development of the province, especially to the provincial budget and creating jobs. Quang Ninh has gained positive results in investment promotion and attracting FDI enterprises to invest in the province. Since the beginning of the year, Quang Ninh has granted investment registration certificates to 8 FDI projects with a total registered capital of nearly US $ 16 million.
To conclude the meeting, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Van Thang emphasized that the promotion and attraction of FDI investment should continue to be renewed and enhanced in the upcoming time. “Particulalrly in terms of investment attraction, relevant functional bodies should select leading investors with good capacity to bring practical benefits to the province", he added.
