On Oct. 13, in the framework of a working visit in Vietnam, Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara, Minister of Science and Technology of Laos and his accompanied delegation paid a working visit to Quang Ninh. Mr Nguyen Van Doc, chairman of QNPPC has received and worked with the delegation.
At the reception ceremony, Mr Nguyen Van Doc expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Minister and his accompanied delegation to Quang Ninh. Mr. Chairman has introduced to the delegation about some achievements of Quang Ninh in its socio-economic development. At the same time, he stressed that this working visit of delegation of Laos Science and Technology Ministry to Quang Ninh will contribute to strengthen and continuously develop the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara sincerely thanked the Party and People of Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh in particular for their cordial reception and good sentiment to the delegation. He is also delighted at achievements that Quang Ninh has gained in the process of building and development. The minister of Science and Technology of Laos wished that based on the solidarity and friendship between the two countries, Quang Ninh will share with the delegation its experiences in scientific and technological works.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation of Laos has worked with the Department of Science and Technology to explore the scientific and technological activities of Quang Ninh.
As scheduled, the delegation visited Ha Long Bay on Oct. 14 and voted for the Bay as one of the seven natural wonders of the world. After that, they returned to Ha Noi, ending their working visit to Quang Ninh.
