Within the framework of Vietnamese-Latin American Trade and Investment Forum, a delegation of representatives from 11 Latin American countries on July 6 visited Quang Ninh and was received by the Deputy Secretary of Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee cum the Chairman of Quang Ninh People’s Council Nguyen Duc Long.
At the meeting, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Duc Long introduced foreign guests to the province’s potential strengths, current socio-economic development and achievements.
Quang Ninh has been promoting and attracting investment into projects in the province, especially in hi-tech projects and those concerning the environment, he said.
Thus, he also expressed the hope that the trade, tourism and investment ties between Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh province in particular with Latin American nations will be accelerated in the future.
The delegation’s representatives gave great thank to Quang Ninh province’s warm reception and said that they were impressed by the increasing development in both the province and Vietnam.
Besides, they highlighted the importance of the first Vietnamese -Latin American Trade and Investment Forum and its aim to boost the close relation between Vietnam and Latin-American countries.
On the same day, the delegation made a tour of Ha Long Bay./.
