Laos' delegation discusses border economy with Mong Cai City

On August 30th, a delegation from Lao People's Democratic Republic had a working session with Mong Cai City’s authority on sharing experiences in border trade activities.

At the meeting, Standing Vice-chairman of Mong Cai Municipal People’s Committee, Nguyen Tien Dung, shared the city’s experiences in managing border gates and trade activities at the border area, focusing on managing territorial borders and waters, protecting national sovereignty, preventing smugglings and criminals as well as illegal entry and exit, controlling imports, exports, temporary imports and re-exports, bonded warehouses, and enhancing administrative reforms… 

In a spirit of openness, Lao’s representatives affirmed that the experience sharing was valuable for study, reference and application into Lao’s trade activities at border area.
