On June 18 in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh Customs held a conference on Joining hands to develop commodity import and export activities through seaports in Quang Ninh.
The conference is an opportunity for custom authorities as well as relevant departments and agencies to discuss and promptly deal with difficulties for businesses; at the same time, proposing practical solutions to contribute to the development of seaports and logistics in Quang Ninh province.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Quang Ninh Customs Department Nguyen Van Huong asked enterprises to raise the problems and difficulties related to their activities at seaports within the province; evaluate the service quality of customs officials as well as suggest measures for customs sector and Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee to effectively develop the import and export activities at seaports in the upcoming time.
At the conference, representative of the Quang Ninh Customs Department also replied all questions and proposals by the enterprises; at the same time considered the enterprises’ comments on difficulties and problems in submitting Certificate of original (C/O) for imported commodities; the import of waste products, and problems in deploying the Viet Nam Automated System for Seaport Customs Management (VASSCM) system to promptly report to the General Department of Customs for consideration and remove.
Also at the conference, the Quang Ninh Customs Department introduced to the enterprises some of the new documents related to import and export activities, including Circular 136 of the Ministry of Finance on management of revenues and expenditures by cash through the State Treasury system; monitoring and management of customs and import-export policies; new points in procedures for granting customs clearance certificates, etc.
