On Feb. 18, in Ha Long city, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting with Japanese Ambassador Extraodinary and Plenipotentiary (AEP). The meeting was attended by Vice-Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Thanh along with other leaders of relevant provincial departments.
At the meeting, Secretary Chinh emphasized that Quang Ninh always treasures Japan’s support in implementing a number of major projects within the province, such as 18A National way, Bai Chay bridge, Cai Lan Port as well as other projects on environment and protective forests...
Chinh has also discussed with the Japanese AEP about the important projecs that will be invested by the Japanese investors including the road connecting Ha Long city with Ha Noi- Hai Phong expressway; construction of the Japanese cultural space in Ha Long city, and other projects that Quang Ninh is calling for Japan's ODA, FDI. Particularly, Bach Dang bridge project will be the symbol celebrating the 40 anniversary relationship of Japan and Vietnam.
In his speech at the meeting, the Japanese AEP Yasuaki Tanizaki highly appreciated the close-knit tie between Japan-Vietnam in general and between Quang Ninh and Japanese provinces in particular. He hailed the great efforts made by Quang Ninh government in calling for investment in recent years. The AEP has also shared that Japanese investors are interested in the transport infrastructure and environment projects in Vietnam. He hoped that Quang Ninh will continue to improve its investment environment to facilitate the Japanese investors who come to Quang Ninh to seek for investment opportunities. Regarding ODA, FDI projects, the AEP promised to propose to the Japanese government for consideration.
