On Nov. 6 in Ha Long city, Deputy Head of the Investment Promotion Agency of Quang Ninh (IPA) had a working session with a delegation of the Japanese Business Association based in Da Nang (JBAD) led by its Chairman, Mr. Taiyo Abe, in an effort to boost the investment cooperation tie between the two sides.
At the session, the IPA’s Deputy Head Truong Manh Hung made an introduction about Quang Ninh’s socio-economic development, as well as its incentives for investment from Japan to the province. He also focused on the Quang Ninh’s possitive changes in terms of infrastructure development, administrative reform and Quang Ninh's good preparation to welcome investors to the province.
He stressed that Quang Ninh considers Japanese businesses as its strategic partners. Thus, the province wishes to call for investments from Japan to effectively tap its potential and boost investment in the fields in which Japan specializes, such as hi-tech agriculture, processing industry, services and tourism, etc.
“Quang Ninh pledges to accompany Japanese businesses during their investments in the province, and will ensure their sustainable development”, said Mr. Truong Manh Hung at the session. He also hoped to welcome the JBAD’s Chairman again to Quang Ninh to join the Japan-Quang Ninh Investment promotion Conference which is scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2018.
For his part, the Chairman of the JBAD Taiyo Abe sincerely thanked IPA Quang Ninh for warmly welcome message. He also wished to return to Quang Ninh aiming at exploring investment opportunities and undertaking surveys in the province in the upcoming time.
The Japanese Business Association in Da Nang (JBAD) was established with the prupose of raising the solidarity among members, promoting the economic cooperation, especially supporting Japanese investors in Da Nang city, and enhancing cultural exchanges between Japan and Vietnam.
