On May 11, in Ha Long city, Indochina Junk Ltd, Co. signed a contract with Ha Long shipbuilding Company to build 14 new hi-quality steel tourist boats.
Under this contract, the Ha Long Shipbuilding Company will build a new series of 14 hi-quality tourist boats for the Indochina Junk Ltd, Co. with the total value of nearly VND 700 bln. These boats will be equipped with modern and luxurious facilities which satisfy the increasing demand of tourists on Ha Long Bay, meeting the criteria of green tourist boats, and contributing to the environmental protection of the Bay. It is expected that the two first ones will be handed over to the Indochina Junk Ltd, Co. in 2012.
The Indochina Junk Ltd, Co. is one of the pioneers in strictly complying the policy of QNPPC requesting boat owners to build steel boats instead of the wood ones.
