On Oct.7th, Hoanh Bo District, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, had a meeting with Damyang District, Jeollanam Province and CK Group, South Korea, to discuss and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on investment cooperation in agricultural production.
At the meeting, leaders of the two districts and relevant sectors exchanged views on the possibility of investment cooperation. These localities have many similarities; meanwhile the differences can complement each other in term of agricultural development.
As a result of the meeting, Hoanh Bo and Damyang districts signed the MOU in the field of agriculture. Accordingly, Damyang district will transfer technology, technical support and bring new strawberry plants which will be piloted in Hoanh Bo district. The CK Group will be responsible for directly transferring technology. This marked a good start for the long-term cooperation in future between the two localities.
The District Party’s Committee Secretary and Chairman of Hoanh Bo District People’s Committee Nguyen Anh Tu affirmed that the district will create favorable conditions concerning investment environment, administrative procedures, land, order and security… for the CK Group to implement the project.
