In Ha Long city, Nov. 30, Ha Long Shipbuilding Co. (under the Vietnam Shipping Industry Group- Vanishin) has handed over the container ship 1730 TEU named New Vision to Vinashin Ocean Shipping Company (under the Vietnam National Shipping Lines). To date, this is the largest container ship that was newly built and handed over to the Vietnamese ship owner.
The New Vision is a container ship with capacity of 1730 TEU. It is 184.1m high and 25.3m wide with the main engine’s power of 13.320Kw. The design of this ship was approved and directly supervised by GL registry agency of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The New Vision is a modern ship with all equipments imported from Europe, satisfying international conventions on shipping. Szcezin Shipbuilding Factory (Poland) is the designer and main provider of the main equipments to build this ship.
