After a series of key transport works that had been put into operation over the past time, the two more important transport works, including Bai Tho mountain ring road and the road linking Bai Chay bridge to Hoang Quoc Viet junction are scheduled to be put into use in this September.
These are the two roads that play important role in the tourism development plan of Ha Long to turn the city into an world-class tourism and service center.
With a total investment of VND 350 billion from the city budget, the Bai Tho mountain ring road of the second phase (including Tran Quoc Nghien street, Vincom section - Ben Doan port) was completed.
The 6-lane road has 7m wide sidewalks which are designed with galvanized railing, and paved along the route on both sides. This is considered as the most beautiful route to enjoy grest view of Ha Long Bay.The VND 480 billion road connecting Bai Chay bridge - Hoang Quoc Viet junction has a length of 7.2 km and a width of 30 m, and is designed for 8 to 10 lanes. The median strip is arranged to plant flowers and system of lighting is installed along the sidewalks of the road.
