Under the decision approving adjustment of the planning on national road development Vietnam to the year of 2020 and in orientation of 2030 that has recently been ratified by the PM, the 128km Ha Long-Mong Cai highway is on the list of the projects to be completed in 2013-2020 term.
As reported, to successfully implement this project, Quang Ninh has actively mobilized and called for investors. As a result, a MoU was signed between Italian- Thai Development Public Company Limited and QNPPC on cooperating in setting up the investment project and preparing technical design of this highway project. Accordingly, the project has total investment capital of over USD 2.1mln under BOT and BT or PPC investment forms.
As scheduled, the project will be kicked off in 2013.
