After three years of construction, Ha Long-Hai Phong expressway project has basically been completed. The Deputy Minister of the Transport Nguyen Van Cong and Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Long had an inspection of the project before it goes into traffic on the occasion of the National Independence Day, September 2.
Regarding Bach Dang bridge, the route and the intersection and the highway from Ha Long city to Bach Dang bridge, to date, guardrails and traffic signs have been installed, the road has been asphalted and expected to be put into operation on the occasion of the National Independence Day (September 2).
The Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong highly aprreciated great efforts of Quang Ninh and the investors during the project implementation. He agreed with the proposal of opening the expressway on the occasion of the National Independence Day. He also agreed to reduce the speed of the expressway by 80km/h, and asked the investors to quickly complete the remaining components in the soonest time.
The representative leader of Transport ministry directed Quang Ninh province to decide the suitable time to collect toll and cooperate with Directorate for Roads of Vietnam to build stops and install petrol station.
Halong- Haiphong four lane highway has a length of 24.6km and a width of 25m. The allowed speed is 100 – 110km/h.The project will link economic triangle Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh, making contributions to bolstering socio-economic development in the northern key economic region.
