To date, Dong Trieu Town has 19 products by 13 economic organizations participating in the OCOP program. They are all typical potential products of the town, such as yellow glutinous rice, lychee, oranges, fresh milk, ceramics, etc.
All the OCOP products of Dong Trieu town are highly evaluated dand classified at the provincial level. Of which, there is one product meeting the 5-star standards; 7 products meeting 4-star standards and 11 ones that satisfy the 3-star standards. One of the highlights of Dong Trieu’s OCOP products is ceramic products of Quang Vinh Ceramics Co., Ltd, one of the two products that meet 5-star standards.
Along with that, Dong Trieu town has placed too much emphasis on developing the brand of the key products. As reported, there have been 5 products which was labeled with collective marks, including Sticky rice, Dong Trieu custard-apples, Dong Trieu Lychee, Dong Trieu oranges, Dong Trieu pomelo. Ony Dong Trieu fresh milk has been in the process of finalizing dossiers and procedures to be granted with collective mark.
Branded products and participating in OCOP programs have been gradually improved on packaging designs, attracting economic organizations to invest and improve product value. Through the province's annual fairs, the programs connecting consumers and products of Dong Trieu are known to consumers more.
Local functional authorities have paid much attention to improve the quantity, quality, and packaging of products which were registered with their brands and join the OCOP program, in an effort to attract more investors and economic organizations into the town. Dong Trieu OCOP products have become popular with consumers by participating in the annual fairs, and products connectivity weeks held in Quang Ninh.
In the upcoming time, the People's Committee of Dong Trieu Town continues to direct relevant units within the town to intensify promoting the implementation of the OCOP program in order to boost and introduce the local products to tourists and consumers, and improve the products’ values.
