The Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Long last week visited the construction site of the project of the Bac Luan No.2 Bridge Interdisciplinary Checkpoints in Mong Cai city.
As reported by the provincial Management Board of Civil and Industrial Projects, works have started on the project of Bac Luan No.2 Bridge Interdisciplinary Checkpoints since February, 2018 with the total investment capital of roughly VND 400 billion.
So far, some main components such as the system of steel and Aluminum roofs, three house blocks and one-storey kiots have almost been completed.
The construction of the six-lane road across these house blocks is expected to have been accomplished by March 13.
Additionally, the place for inspecting goods and the system of specialized equipments is going to be ready soon.
As scheduled, the trial operation of the interdisciplinary checkpoints will be undergone within three days from March 15.
At the construction site, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Long highlighted Bac Luan No.2 bridge’s significant role in not only considerablely decreasing the traffic flow through the bridge of Bac Luan No.1 but also contributing to enhancing trade exchange between Vietnam and China.
The Bac Luan No.2 Bridge Interdisciplinary Checkpoints aims to improve the capacity of inspecting and controlling immigration and import-export activities. Furthermore, it can also assist much in guranteeing security and developing the technical infrastructure system in border areas.
Having said that, he then asked functional agencies and units to promptly complete all of the work items so that the launching ceremony will be held sucessfully on March 19, 2019.
The People’s Committee of Mong Cai city is responsible for working closely with units in charge of organization, security, environmental sanitation, etc. to ensure the success of the event.
