Within the framework of Vietnam - China International Trade and Tourism Fair 2019, on December 1, in Mong Cai City, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee (QNPPC) co-organized a conference on the connectivity of exporting agricultural, forestry and aquatic products to Chinese market. The conference was chaired by Quang Ninh's Vice Chairman Bui Van Khang, and attracted the participation of more than 100 enterprises and cooperatives.
At the conference, leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the QNPPC made an introduction to the Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises about current state of the import and export of commodities of Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh in particular.
In order to promote border trade, Quang Ninh has deployed various solutions, including paying special attention to investing in upgrading resources, ensuring trade, transport and exchange of goods, focusing on administrative reform, supporting and creating favorable conditions for enterprises in import and export activities.
At the conference, participants discussed about some solutions to promote the export of agricultural, forestry and fishery products to the Chinese market, such as: production and export capacity for some key products; cooperation agreements on food safety and quarantine regulations between Vietnam and China; some regulations on Chinese agricultural imports; the building of Vietnam's Mong Cai - China's Dongxing border gates to join the supply chain of agricultural and forestry products; logistic service development; processing, preserving and transporting agriculture, forestry and fishery products in Mong Cai and Dongxing cities.
Also at the conference, a Memorandum of Understanding was inked by leaders of Mong Cai and Dongxing cities, and a cooperation agreement which has the total of over VND 15,750 bln was signed by 6 pairs of Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises.
