A free Wi-Fi network has been installed in Co To, with five access points at two locations frequented by large numbers of residents and tourists. The system can support approximately 1,000 devices connecting simultaneously.
The “Coto free Wifi” network is available at Co To Wharf and the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site on Co To Island, a special national relic. It allows residents and visitors to access the internet free of charge and conveniently look up information on tourist attractions, boat schedules, weather forecasts, hotlines and local digital tourism services. In the coming period, the Wi-Fi network is expected to be extended to Hong Van and Van Chay beaches, as well as several community cultural centres across the area, to better meet the internet access needs of residents and visitors. The expansion will help improve digital infrastructure, enhance public access to online services and support local tourism development.
