The Chairman of Quang Ninh PPC Nguyen Van Doc on May 3 supervised the construction progress of ring road north of Ha Long city, Vu Oai - Quang Hanh section.
The road, 13.9 kilometres long and 12 metres wide, has a total investment of over VND 497 billion from the State budget. The first location connects to the road of Troi-Vu Oai at Km 14 and the end links the National Highway 18 at Km141+200. The road is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2012.
The construction project is divided into 6 building contracts. Currently, road base, bridges and water drainage system have already completed.
The Department of Transport and the contractors have taken effort to officially open the road for traffic in September, 2012.
The Chairman of Quang Ninh PPC Nguyen Van Doc directed the Department of Transport to speed up the construction progress to reach the set target as well as enhance supervision and management to ensure road quality.
He also asked relevant departments and localities to solve problems related to land clearance.
In addition, any construction must ensure low environmental impact, he stressed.
