On Sep. 19th, in Ha Long city, Vice-Chairman of QNPPC and the provincial relevant departments had a meeting with the Vietnam-Japan Real Estate JSC to hear and comment on the ideas, investment strategy, location, as well as incentives supporting the Big C supermarket construction project which will be built in the cities of Ha Long, Uong Bi.
At the meeting, the delegates had a chance to listen to the investment proposal and plan for building the Big C supermarket in Ha Long and Uong Bi city presented by the investor. Accordingly, the investor proposed 3 locations to conduct the project. Specifically, the Big C supermarket based in Hon Gai Ward will cover an area of 16,600 square meters, with a total investment capital of 300-400 bln; the Big C Ha Long will be located in Bai Chay Ward with an area of 30,000 square meters and a total investment capital of 200-300 bln, and the Big C in Uong Bi will be built on a 30,000 square meter-area with a total capital of 200-300 bln.
After listening to the investor's proposal and relevant departments' opinions, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated the Casino Group's contribution to development of the province, and hoped for its cooperation with Quang Ninh
He affirmed that Quang Ninh will accompany the Group in overcoming difficulties during the construction of the supermarket so that the project would be soon implemented.
The Vice-Chairman of the QNPPC also suggested that the Big C supermarket should be built in Bai Chay Ward (Ha Long city) which is considered to be the most suitable location. He assigned the Quang Ninh IPA to be the focal point supporting the Group in this project.
