According to Bach Dang Bridge BOT JSC, the lowest toll rate is VND35,000 (US$1.5) for under 12-seater vehicles, under two-tonne trucks and public buses.
VND 50,000 is for 12-30 seater vehicles and trucks with freight from 2 to 4 tonnes; VND 60,000 is for vehicles with 31 seaters upward and truck with freight from 10 to 18 tonnes and 20-feet containers. The highest rate is VND180,000 for trucks with freight from 18 tonnes upwards and 40-feet containers.
The toll collection will be adjusted after 3 years with the increasing rate of 1.18%, beginning from 2021.
Constructed in September, 2014 under the Build-Operate-Transfer investment model at a cost of nearly VND7.3 trillion, the 5.3km bridge, spanning the Bach Dang River, the bridge helps to link the triangular economic corridor of Ha Noi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh.
Also according to the company, the current average traffic circulation on the bridge is 11,000 vehicles per day.
The company began trial toll operation on Sep. 27.
