On Jan. 20, QNPPC’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thanh had a meeting with Mr. Franz Jessen, Ambassador- Head of the European Union (EU) delegation to Vietnam.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thanh briefly introduced to the Ambassador about the socio-economic development and Quang Ninh’s policies for FDI attraction.
Thanh stressed that besides its great efforts in overcoming difficulties in the socio-economic development, Quang Ninh always attaches importance to extend trade cooperation tie with other countries and territories in the world. As a result, Quang Ninh has made much progress in trade, investment, culture, education, defense and security activities.
Thanh hoped that with their experiences and hi-quality techniques, EU nations would support and collaborate with Quang Ninh in developing infrastructure as well as in dealing with environmental problems and effectively tapping available potentials of Quang Ninh province.
For his part, Mr. Franz Jessen sincerely congratulated Quang Ninh on its achievements and progress in recent years. He also suggested the potential cooperation programs in trade, tourism, education and training.
During its working visit in Quang Ninh, the delegation took a visit to Mong Cai city to explore the investment opportunities in trade, tourism, services and other areas.
