On Oct.11th, the opening ceremony of the 8th Vietnamese language training course for students from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, in the school year of 2019 – 2020, was held at Ha Long University.
The 10 month Vietnamese language training course has enrollment of 57 Laos students from the three provinces in Northern Laos, including Luanprabang, Huaphan and Xayaboury. After the course, those who meet Vietnamese language standards will continue registering other majors at colleges and universities in the province.
On the basis of the cooperation agreement among Quang Ninh Province and the three provinces in Northern Laos, from 2012 until now, the Ha Long University received and trained 7 Vietnamese language training courses with the total number of 273 Laos students. Creating favorable conditions for the Laos students to study is of great importance to show unity and friendship between Vietnam – Laos in general and Quang Ninh Province and the three provinces in Northern Laos in particular.
