Following the Prime Minister’s direction at Document No.808/ VPCP-KTTH dated Feb 5, 2020 of the Government Office and Document No.624/UBND-TM1 dated Feb 6, 2020 regarding import-export activities and good transport via the border, relevant branches in Quang Ninh in coordination with Mong Cai City implemented preventive measures against Covid 19 and solved difficulties for enterprises, thereby ensuring import-export trading activities at Bac Luan Bridge No.2 between Mong Cai (Vietnam) – Dongxing (China).
According to the report by Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Sub-Department, right after ensuring the necessary factors for customs clearance, from Feb 7-20, 162 containers imported and exported via Bac Luan Bridge No.2 with a total value of over 2 mil.USD, the tax payment reached nearly 1.6 bil.VND. Currently, the two sides are continuing to complete next steps as prescibed and then report to the higher authorities in order to resume import-export activities at Km3+4 Hai Yen, thus boosting economic development.
