Stronger linkages between travel businesses and accommodation, food and beverage, transport and attraction providers, as well as local authorities, are opening up an effective way for Quang Ninh tourism to refresh its products and expand visitor markets. Through demand-stimulation programmes, businesses are not only improving their price competitiveness but also enhancing visitor experiences, extending stays and increasing tourist spending.
At the 2026 Travel Conference themed “Innovation - Connectivity - Elevation” in late September, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasised that travel businesses serve as a bridge bringing tourism products to visitors, while promotion and marketing help expand markets, position brands and stimulate demand. He therefore called for stronger linkages among localities, businesses and related sectors; coordinated infrastructure and services; the development of specific routes and product packages; and clear division of responsibilities among stakeholders. Travel businesses should be involved from the idea-generation and product-design stages to improve operational effectiveness and the competitiveness of destinations.
Following these orientations, Quang Ninh is rolling out a range of tourism stimulus programmes this autumn-winter season with the participation of tourism businesses. More than 20 three- to five-star accommodation establishments have developed promotional packages offering discounts of 20% to more than 60%, combined with added services such as breakfast, main meals, beverages, wellness services and other amenities for staying guests.
According to Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Express Tour and Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Tourism Association Dang Duy Trung Hieu, Quang Ninh has advantages in natural landscapes, heritage, culture and resorts, the association is developing tours connecting Hanoi with Ha Long Bay and extending itineraries to Yen Tu, Dong Trieu, Van Don, Co To and Mong Cai. This approach not only gives visitors more choices but also creates opportunities to distribute visitor flows more widely and increase the use of services across different localities.
Quang Ninh aims to welcome 23 million tourist arrivals and generate more than VND 70 trillion in tourism revenue in 2026. The city is currently actively implementing a plan to develop one distinctive tourism product for each commune, ward and special zone; reviewing and evaluating the pilot scheme for developing the night-time economy; and completing a scheme on developing the heritage economy, night-time tourism and cultural industries in Quang Ninh City through 2030, with a vision to 2045. These orientations provide a basis for travel businesses to develop products linked to the distinctive characteristics of each locality and organise more in-depth itineraries, contributing to strengthening Quang Ninh tourism’s competitiveness and position.
