On August 29, at the Vu Van Hieu School of Politics, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Vu Quyet Tien held a working meeting with Secretary of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Bounleuam Manivong during his working visit to Quang Ninh.
Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Vu Quyet Tien emphasised that with a deep understanding of and appreciation for the special significance of the Vietnam–Laos relationship, Quang Ninh has always attached importance to consolidating friendship and cooperation with Lao localities, including Luang Prabang Province.
Secretary of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Bounleuam Manivong congratulated Quang Ninh on officially becoming a city, opening a new stage of development. He expressed his hope that the two sides would effectively implement agreed areas of cooperation for the 2026–2030 period, strengthen delegation exchanges and friendship activities, and promote practical cooperation in fields suited to the potential and strengths of each locality.
Also on August 29, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee held a closing ceremony for a training course on leadership and management knowledge for officials from Luang Prabang Province, Laos, in Quang Ninh in 2026.
