A strong economy thrives on dynamic enterprises and prosperous communities. In Vietnam, the private sector plays a pivotal role, contributing around 50% of GDP, over 30% of state budget revenues, and generating jobs for 82% of the workforce. In Quang Ninh, this sector serves as a cornerstone of growth and transformation.

Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW issed by the Politburo affirms that the private sector is the most important driver of the national economy, pioneering innovation, boosting productivity, and enhancing competitiveness on the path to industrialization and modernization.

Today, Vietnam is home to more than 940,000 private enterprises and over 5 million household businesses. They are a crucial force for innovation, productivity growth, and competitiveness. Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW has created fresh momentum and confidence for enterprises, cooperatives, and business households, helping to unleash new dynamism across the private sector.

In August 2025, the country welcomed 20,500 new enterprises with registered capital of VND 326.1 trillion and nearly 107,000 workers. Compared to the previous month, this marks a 23.9% increase in businesses, nearly 2.8 times in capital, and 35.4% in labor. Year-on-year, enterprise registrations surged by 52.9%, capital more than doubled, and jobs grew by nearly 50%. Additionally, 12,400 enterprises resumed operations, up 46.4% compared to the same period last year.

Over the first eight months of 2025, Vietnam recorded 128,200 newly established enterprises with registered capital of VND 1.254 quadrillion and nearly 777,000 workers, all significantly higher than the previous year. On average, each new enterprise registered VND 9.8 billion in capital. More than 81,000 enterprises resumed operations, up 41.4% year-on-year, underscoring the sector’s growing vibrancy.

Quang Ninh reflects this nationwide momentum. In August 2025 alone, the province recorded 347 newly established enterprises, a 105.3% year-on-year increase, with registered capital reaching VND 2.73 trillion, up 162.4%. An additional 59 enterprises also resumed operations. Cumulatively over the first eight months of the year, Quang Ninh welcomed 1,568 new enterprises with VND 12.64 trillion in registered capital, while 581 enterprises returned to business.

As of August 20, 2025, the province was home to 11,840 active enterprises filing tax declarations, with total registered capital of VND 405.5 trillion.

Alongside these achievements, Quang Ninh has actively supported private sector growth by improving access to land, especially in industrial parks and clusters, facilitating credit, and encouraging the application of advanced technologies in production and business.

The province has also accelerated administrative reforms, promoting workforce development, and assisting household businesses to transition into enterprises.

Guided by the principle that “the success of investors and businesses is also the success of Quang Ninh”, the province is committed to building a dynamic, transparent, and supportive investment environment.

With strong policies, modern infrastructure, and a clear focus on private sector development, Quang Ninh is creating powerful momentum for businesses to grow, innovate, and contribute to sustainable economic transformation.
