Quang Ninh delegation pays tribute to fallen heroes ahead of 16th provincial Party Congress
On September 24, a delegation of delegates led by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vu Dai Thang offered incense at the monument to national heroes and the statue of comrade Vu Van Hieu, the first Secretary of the Quang Ninh Special Zone Party Committee.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation, representing the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, armed forces, and local people, laid wreaths and offered incense in memory of fallen heroes, heroes of the people’s armed forces, and Comrade Vu Van Hieu, who devoted their lives to safeguarding national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to securing peace and prosperity for the people.
Upholding the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source,” the delegation pledged loyalty to the Party and commitment to carrying forward the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh.
During the 2020-2025 term, Quang Ninh province has made significant achievements. The province has comprehensively fulfilled the targets set by the 15th provincial Party Congress, with notable progress in Party building, administrative reform, and investment attraction.

The economy has sustained high and stable growth, averaging around 10% annually, 1.7 times the national rate. Infrastructure has been developed in a modern, integrated manner, tourism has strongly rebounded post-pandemic, and defense and security have been firmly safeguarded. Also, external relations have expanded, and living standards have improved, making Quang Ninh a national leader in social welfare, equity, and progress.
Before the memorials, the delegation reaffirmed its determination to promote unity, uphold revolutionary traditions, and remain steadfastly loyal to the Party, the State, and the people.
With self-reliance, resilience, and solidarity, the province is committed to successfully organizing the 16th provincial Party Congress, thereby laying the foundation for Quang Ninh to become a centrally-governed city before 2030, a major urban hub of regional and international significance by 2045, and one of the key economic engines of the nation, ready to join the country in a new era of development and growth.
