Seminar on Ha Long bay - Yen Tu tourism: “One journey - two heritages”
On September 18, the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Tung Lam Development JSC, held a seminar themed “One journey - two heritages” to discuss strategies for promoting tourism at Ha Long Bay and the Yen Tu heritage site.
Nearly 30 domestic travel companies participated in the event.
The seminar highlighted Quang Ninh’s tourism strengths, especially its two UNESCO world heritage sites: Ha Long bay and the Yen Tu monuments and landscape complex.
Travel agencies shared insights on domestic and international markets, particularly high-end visitors, while offering recommendations for developing the Yen Tu site. A key focus was connecting the two heritages into a unique tourism product to attract travelers during the year-end season and in the coming years.

Participants also explored Yen Tu’s distinctive cultural and historical values, experienced local tourism services and products, and considered incorporating them into tour packages and promotional activities.
The program reflects Quang Ninh’s commitment to preserving and promoting the global values of Yen Tu Heritage while further enhancing its image among domestic and international visitors.

As scheduled, Yen Tu ward will host the “Yen Tu - Autumn of Zen meditation” festival in the fourth quarter of 2025, featuring a variety of cultural, sports, and tourism events such as art showcases, photography contests, poetry and music performances, lantern parades, and Dao Thanh Y ethnic cultural activities.
A highlight will be the “Yen Tu heritage - Touch the heritage” race on November 15-16, expected to welcome thousands of runners and offer them a memorable cultural and spiritual experience.
