CoreMax Vietnam plant inaugurated at Nam Tien Phong industrial park
On September 17, the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority and CoreMax Group held an inauguration and plaque-unveiling ceremony for Phase 1 of the Vina CoreMax Vietnam Plant at Nam Tien Phong industrial park, Lien Hoa ward. 
Prominent among those was Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, Nghiem Xuan Cuong.
This project marks an important milestone in the province’s industrial development and is a significant contribution to the 16th Quang Ninh provincial Party Congress (2025-2030).
Established in 1992, CoreMax Group specializes in oxidation catalysts, specialty chemicals, battery materials, and chemical fertilizers. In 2023, as part of its global expansion strategy, the group selected Vietnam for its next major investment with the Vina CoreMax Vietnam Project. The project was officially licensed by the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority on October 20, 2023.
With a total investment of USD 65.3 million and covering approximately 8 hectares, the plant will produce nickel sulfate and cobalt sulfate crystals for the lithium-ion battery industry, both regionally and globally.
The facility is designed with an annual capacity of 49,280 tons of products and will be developed in two phases: the first phase in September 2025 and the second in January 2027.
Strategically located at Nam Tien Phong industrial park, the project benefits from direct connections to two key expressways: Hanoi-Hai Phong and Hai Phong-Ha Long-Mong Cai, helping reduce logistics costs and transportation time.
The inauguration of the Vina CoreMax Vietnam Plant reaffirms Quang Ninh’s favorable investment climate, transparent policies, and consistent support for investors.
Once fully operational, the project is expected to create jobs, contribute to export growth, boost state budget revenues, and drive sustainable industrial development through science, technology, and innovation.
