Quang Ninh athlete won a gold medal at the 2025 National Taekwondo Club Championship - Ambassador Cup
The Quang Ninh Taekwondo team secured an impressive six medals, including one gold, at the 2025 National Taekwondo Club Championship - Ambassador Cup, held from September 9 to 16 in Thai Nguyen.
Co-organized by the Department of Physical Training and Sports, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, and the Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the tournament drew more than 1,400 coaches and athletes from 55 provinces, cities, sectors, and clubs across the country, competing for 226 medal sets.
Experts praised this year’s event for its high level of competition, which featured standout athletes such as Nguyen Ngoc Lan Phuong (Hanoi) - 2025 Asian U14 champion, Le Quang Huy (Ho Chi Minh city) - Asian U14 gold medalist, Le Phan Tuan Kiet (Gia Lai) - preparing for the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, and Pham Minh Bao Kha (Dong Thap) - 2025 Southeast Asian champion.

Represented by 2 coaches and 14 athletes from the provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, Quang Ninh earned 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals. The gold went to Pham Ngoc Anh in the women’s 46kg weight class.
These achievements not only showcase Quang Ninh’s growing strength in Taekwondo but also provide fresh momentum to expand the sport, nurture young talent, and set sights on regional and international arenas in the years ahead.
