Quang Ninh honored with Prime Minister’s certificate of merit at National Achievement Exhibition
On the evening of September 15, the closing ceremony of the National Achievement Exhibition “80 years of independence - freedom - happiness” was held at the National Exhibition and Fair Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi. At the event, the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister in recognition of its outstanding achievements in leading, organizing, and implementing activities for the exhibition celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
As the largest event of its kind to date, the exhibition featured more than 230 booths representing ministries, central agencies, 34 provinces and cities, along with over 110 enterprises and major corporations. Over its 19-day run (August 28 - September 15), the exhibition welcomed an estimated 10 million visitors.
Quang Ninh’s pavilion, themed “Quang Ninh - A radiant 80-year journey with the nation”, spanned 270 square meters and showcased 275 photographs and 150 distinctive artifacts, including a yacht model, 3D topographic models, a monolithic piece of Kiplé coal, trophies, medals, processed industrial products, and advanced technological devices.
The display highlighted not only the province’s 80-year journey of resilience, development, and protection but also its remarkable achievements over four decades of national renewal.

Visitors were taken on a visual journey through Quang Ninh’s natural and cultural treasures, featuring its two UNESCO world heritage sites: Ha Long bay and the Yen Tu complex, alongside milestones in socio-economic growth, industrial development, technological innovation, and tourism.
Modern machinery, featured products, and interactive multimedia installations offered an immersive experience that drew strong interest from both locals and tourists.
The province also placed emphasis on organizing guided visits, arranging tours for retired provincial leaders, former Party secretaries of districts and cities, as well as delegations from agencies, schools, businesses, and major corporations.
These visits not only fostered a sense of pride but also gave thousands of officials, citizens, and students the chance to experience firsthand the nation’s proud history and Quang Ninh’s own achievements.
With its modern presentation and integration of multimedia technologies, Quang Ninh successfully conveyed the image of a province in transformation, from “brown” to “green,” with people at the center and culture and nature as the foundation for sustainable development.
The province’s pavilion became one of the highlights of the exhibition, underscoring Quang Ninh’s ambition and forward-looking vision in the new era.
