One day, if you do not want to go to crowded beaches or noisy places and you just want to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, think about Vung Dam, a tourist site on Vinh Thuc Island, Mong Cai City.
Vung Dam is a part of Hamlet No1, Vinh Trung Island Commune. It is 7km from the center of the commune and 13km from Van Gia Port. Vinh Thuc Island with untouched beauty has got Dau Dong Beach which is compared with the head of a dragon, and Vung Dam is like the dragon’s winding tail.
Seen from above, Vung Dam is like a pincer encompassing sandy beaches and frontline water surface, forming a peaceful area of over 100 ha, large enough to protect hundreds of tourist ships and fishing boats. Thanks to calm water and spacious area, you can feel cool sea breeze. Vung Dam also has a long smooth sandy beach with crystal water which is called Bai Go.
Going to the place, you have chance to enjoy delicious seafood like cockles, blue crabs, shrimp…You can hire a boat to go fishing or electric cars to go around the area.
If you want to stay longer in Vung Dam, you can also easily find reasonable homestays right at the center of the commune.
