Against this scenic backdrop, the 2026 Luc Hon Golden Season Festival will run throughout October and November, with a highlight being an artistic performance on October 24 at Luc Na Communal House. In this traditional setting, stories of the land, rice and people of Luc Hon will bring the golden rice season and the distinctive cultural identities of local ethnic communities to life, creating a memorable cultural experience.

Luc Na Communal House will also host cultural, culinary and community activities. From October 23 to 25, its grounds will feature displays of OCOP products, agricultural produce, local cuisine, regional specialities and handicrafts. Visitors can savour traditional ethnic dishes and purchase arrowroot vermicelli, seasonal produce, handmade souvenirs and products bearing the Luc Hon Golden Season branding. The festive atmosphere will be further enlivened by a friendly women’s football tournament featuring teams from Luc Hon, Binh Lieu and Hoanh Mo communes on October 24 and 25.

At selected tourist attractions, cultural exchanges featuring Then singing accompanied by the dan tinh lute, Soong Co singing, folk songs and traditional dances will give visitors opportunities to engage with local culture. Rather than simply watching performances, visitors can learn a few lines of a song, try a dance step, explore traditional musical instruments or take part in folk games and sports such as spinning tops, crossbow shooting, stick pushing and tug-of-war.

A particular highlight is the Tay people’s New Rice Celebration, scheduled for October 25. In November, when the rice is ready for harvesting, activities in the terraced fields of Cao Thang and Ngan Vang will offer another memorable opportunity to experience local life. Visitors can learn about terraced rice cultivation, try their hand at harvesting and bundling rice stalks, and capture memorable moments amid the golden fields.

Luc Hon is now entering its most beautiful season of the year, when its captivating landscapes are at their best. Beyond the chance to photograph golden terraced fields, visitors can enjoy the aroma of newly harvested rice, the songs of local communities and the warmth and distinctive character of highland life.
