According to statistics from Van Don International Airport, during Feb 1 and 2, five flights bringing 930 passengers, mostly Vietnamese who are living, studying and working in South Korea, landed at Van Don International Airport.
Following the Prime Minister’s direction, Van Don International Airport was assigned to receive non-regular flights from South Korea. All five flights landed at Van Don airport in the past two days were implemented by Vietnam’s airlines, including Vietjet Air and Vietnam Airlines.
Separate parking lots were reserved for the planes in Van Don International Airport, ensuring that arrivals would not affect the airport’s general operations. Crew members, passengers and their luggages were supervised and quarantined as special regulations and then taken to the isolation areas.
