On Oct. 28th, a delegation of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) led by John Yates, an international expert on e-government, visited and worked with the Quang Ninh Provincial Public Administrative Service Center.
This is the first time the USAID has visited Quang Ninh with the purpose of researching and evaluating Vietnam’s e-government. After the survey at the Provincial Public Administrative Service Center, the USAID delegation highly appreciated remarkable achievements of Quang Ninh provincial e-government development project and model of the Provincial Public Administrative Service Center as well.
Mr. John Yates emphasized that, thanks to the well-prepared efforts, Quang Ninh Province has met necessary and sufficient conditions of information technology (IT) infrastructure, policy framework, human resouces and other resources, greatly contributing to boosting the province’s socio-economic development based on IT infrastructure. It is the inevitable roadmap that provinces and cities of Vietnam will then go through towards civilization and modernity in the era of IT and internet.
