On Dec. 18, an opening ceremony was held to commence the 33rd National Television Festival at Tuan Chau International Resort. This is an annual festival organized by Vietnam National Television in order to honour the outstanding works of the year 2013. It also offers an opportunity for television officials to exchange and share experiences.The ceremony was attended by Deputy Ministy Vu Duc Dam, General Director of VTV Tran Binh Minh and Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Van Doc as well as reporters from over 150 television stations nationwide and other countries.
“This is the second time that Quang Ninh has hosted the National Television Festival. It is our honour”, said Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Doc in his speech at the ceremeny. He stressed that Quang Ninh has great potentials and advantages of nature, history and people for the development of the province. It also a rich land that may inspire the reporters in many ways. Doc hoped that more and more excellent works would be produced for television presenting all features of Quang Ninh in general and Vietnam in particular.
Over 500 works for television in nine categories, from 104 television production stations will compete in this year festival. Additionally, seminars, forums, exhibition, and a broadcaster-audience exchange... will be held during the festival. As scheduled, the festival wraps up on Dec. 21
