According to the Prime Minister’s order on urgent Covid 19 prevention and control, from Mar 16, all people must strictly wear face masks in public places. The implementation of face mask wearing is actively implemented by Quang Ninh province. The working groups in 13 localities of the province seriously reminded and handled administrative violations.
Currently, all localities in the province have established the working groups to propagandize, remind and punish people who don’t wear face masks. On Mar 30 & 31, many violation cases were treated with a fine of 200,000 VND, including 29 cases in Dong Trieu town, 2 cases in Tien Yen district, 11 cases in Co To district etc.
Not only the local working groups but also traffic police forces have promoted their active role in propagandizing and minimizing the spread of Covid 19. Functional units equipped with a disinfectant spraying bottle on each desk for officials and residents to use while making a record.
Wearing face masks in public places and handling violations has received active response from local people. Mrs Nguyen Huu Phong, Area 3, Hong Hai ward, Ha Long city, said: “Facing the complicated development of Covid 19 pandemic, we fully believe in the Government’s robust measures. People need to raise awareness and strictly wear face masks to ensure safety for themselves and the community”

In public places such as markets, supermarkets, bus stations, ports ... most of people worn face masks. Any violation cases will be reminded and not allowed to enter public places or fined according to regulations. The Department of Health in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade have checked face mask selling points to ensure the quantity, quality and price as well.
Handling people not wearing face masks is a tough measure to raise people's awareness of the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, every citizen should voluntarily wear a mask to protect their health, their family as well as the community.
