On August 13th, Quang Ninh Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Doc presided over Quang Ninh Standing Party Committee's meeting on major issues, including the project of upgrading Dong Trieu Town to 3rd-class urban area.
According to reports, the consideration of Dong Trieu Town as a provincial 3rd-class urban area was based on 5 criteria and 59 requirements. The result shows that the town is eligible to be recognized as 3rd-class urban area with 86.77 out of 100 points, exceeding the requirement of 75 prescribed minimum points.
The Party Committee Secretary asked functional bodies to complete procedures as regulated and further complete the project to make a report to the Prime Minister for assessment, which would be an opportunity for the town to improve its all urban aspects.
