With the aim of developing the information technology (IT) industry and forming the digital ecology in the province, the People’s Committee of Ha Long city (under the authorization of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee) has approved the detailed planning for building an IT park in Quang Ninh.
Accordingly, the IT Park is located in in Tuan Chau ward, Ha Long city and covers an area of 91,884 square meters. It is expected to become a livable cityfor the IT experts.
Quang Ninh IT park will consist of six functional areas, namely: the production, the R & D and training-consulting, the office, the start-up traning, the management and the public services.
The project aims to provide smart services, contributing to develop Quang Ninh into an dynamic econmic and information center in the region. It will help to creat impetus to foster other sectors of Quang Ninh including logistic, marine economy, and attract both domestic and international enterprises to invest and work in the province, aiming at establishing the digital ecology of the province.
As planned, the Quang Ninh IT park will be invested in form of Public Private Partnerships with the extra-budgetary resources.
