Quang Ninh targets 11 percent in GRDP growth in 2022
The 9th session of the provincial People’s Council set the target to reach 11 % in GRDP growth in 2022.
As reported at the meeting, Quang Ninh’s GRDP growth rate is estimated to increase by 10.66%, or 2.91 percentage points higher than the same period in 2021, ranking 4th among localities in the Red River Delta.
It is predicted that the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic will affect all aspects of production and business, namely tourism, transportation, retail goods, restaurants and hotels, etc. Thefore, Quang Ninh has identified the theme for 2022 as "safe adaptation, flexibility, effective control of the Covid-19 pandemic, maintanance of growth momentum, and development of high-quality human resources”.
Quang Ninh sets a target to attain the GRDP growth rate of over 10% and the total state budget revenue of VND 52,600 billion. The total social investment capital is set to increase by over 10%; FDI attraction reaches at least USD 1.5 billion.
As planned, Quang Ninh will promote the implementation of three strategic breakthroughs including speeding up the construction progress, perfecting the strategic infrastructure system, improving the efficacy of investment attraction, and developing high-quality human resource.
The province also aims to maximize the pivotal role of the industry-construction sector in economic growth, effectively implement the tourism recovery program, give marine economy and logistics services a boost in conjunction with the improvement of finance - banking, e-commerce, border trade, import and export, etc.
