The "People's Public Security for the People" monument inaugurated

On August 13, the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with Quang Ninh Province, held the inauguration ceremony for the  "People's Public Security for the People" monument at Ha Long Flower Park in Hong Gai ward.

Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Lam emphasized that the Vietnam People’s Public Security (PPS) is a revolutionary armed force that originates from the people and relies on the people to fight.

In all circumstances, the PPS has always remained a loyal revolutionary force of the Party, State, and the people. The construction of the  "People's Public Security for the People" monument is not only to honor and pay tribute to the glorious achievements of generations of PPS officers and soldiers, but also to strengthen the close bond between the PPS and the people, foster public trust, and mobilize the strength of the entire political system, the Party, the people, and the armed forces in the cause of national construction and defense.

It also serves as a cultural work of political and historical significance, a venue for traditional education and outreach activities for generations of officers and soldiers.

With the hope that the monument will contribute to enhancing the urban landscape and becoming a remarkable and attractive destination for visitors to Quang Ninh, the Deputy Minister called on the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and relevant agencies to continue working closely with the Ministry of Public Security to ensure the monument’s upkeep and preserve its significance.

Local police units, especially Quang Ninh Provincial Police, were urged to proactively develop activities that facilitate visits by officers, soldiers, and the public, thereby enhancing the monument’s value and meaning.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Pham Duc An stressed that the monument represents the collective wisdom, dedication, and consensus of the entire political system, under the close guidance of the Ministry of Public Security and through the close cooperation of professional agencies, the provincial police, and construction, design, and supervision units.

He noted that the care and support of the people were the foundation for the project’s timely completion with guaranteed quality, artistry, and lasting value.

The inauguration not only marks a new cultural milestone for the province but also opens up a space for political activities and traditional education, fostering pride, patriotism, and revolutionary spirit among present and future generations.

The monument is expected to become a “red address” for memorial events, tributes, political activities, and civic responsibility education, especially for armed forces personnel, students, and youth in Quang Ninh.

Chairman Pham Duc An also called on provincial agencies, the Quang Ninh Police, and the Hong Gai Ward authorities to work closely in managing, operating, and organizing activities linked to the monument, ensuring it truly becomes a vibrant cultural space that reflects the Public Security force’s tradition and spirit of service to the people.
