To achieve the goal of welcoming about 10 million visitor arrivals in 2022, she requested the tourism sector to set up specific targets for each period based on real situations.

In February and March, the province is going to work with large tourism and service companies and groups, travel agents, and key domestic markets such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, etc. to expand relevant programs, she revealed.

The tourism authority was also asked to proactively formulate detailed and comprehensive programs and plans on reopening tourism.

Notably, it is crucial to implement promotion activities on both domestic and international scales, actively work with potential international markets to welcome guests, especially those from Korea, Japan, and EATOF member countries.

Tourism products in focus need to feature uniqueness and great impression such as Ha Long Carnival festival, Ao Dai Festival, cuisine streets, Yacht Night streets, etc.

Covid-19 preventive measures must continue to be paid great attention in order to create a safe enviorment for tourists and tourism staff.

According to statistics, Quang Ninh welcomed over 300,000 holidaymakers in the six-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday from January 31 to February 5, earning around 400 billion VND (17.6 million USD). Local religious establishments such as Yen Tu relic site, Ba Vang, Ngoa Van and Cai Bau pagodas, and Cua Ong temple, together with Ha Long Bay – a UNESCO-recognised World Heritage Site, were the most attractive to tourists during the period.

From January 1 to June 30, Quang Ninh offers a 50-percent discount of tickets to many destinations like the Yen Tu scenic site, Ha Long Bay, and the province’s museum and library.
