According to statistics from Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, from May 1st – 31st, the total number of tourist arrivals to Quang Ninh was estimated at more than 346,000, including 331,000 domestic tourist arrivals, equal to 72.7% over the same period last year.
Particularly, the total tourist arrivals to Ha Long Bay reached 138,000, including 137,000 domestic tourist arrvials, 892 foreign tourist arrivals. The total tourist arrivals to Yen Tu relic site achieved 10,200, to Quang Ninh Museum 50,200 and to Sunworld entertainment complex nearly 50,000. In May 31 alone, the total number of visitor arrivals to tourist attractions in Quang Ninh was estimated at 68,000 – the highest figure in May, 2020, including 67,300 domestic tourist arrivals, accounting for 99% of the total visitors.
