On Dec. 27, the provincial Standing Party Committee had a meeting to review ideas about important contents. Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky chaired the meeting.
At the conference, the Provincial Standing Party Committee gave ideas and comments on the task of making Quang Ninh planning for the 2021 -2030 period, with a vision to 2045. The goal of the planning is to build Quang Ninh into a city under the central government, becoming a driving force for economic development in the North and the whole country with modern and synchronous socio-economic infrastructure system and urban technical infrastructure, thereby promoting its key role to the country. Regarding to this content, Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council asked departments, agencies and localities to uphold the essential responsibility and active participation in the planning process, ensuring the progress with the highest quality.
The meeting also discussed about the preparatory work for organizing the ceremony to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Ha Long Bay’s second time recognition as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and announcing the merging Hoanh Bo district into Ha Long city and the arrangement of communal administrative units of Quang Ninh province. Accordingly, the program will take place at 8p.m on Jan. 12, 2020 at Sun Carnival Plaza Square, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City and live broadcast on QTV channel of Quang Ninh Media Group and VTV channel of Vietnam Television. The program is expected to include a ceremony and a festival with 3 chapters, including Journey to the heritage site, the convergence of colors and the brilliant heritage and wonder.
Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary asked Ha Long City and relevant units to speed up the preparatory work, urgently complete items of the celebration program in order to ensure time and content. He also noted that the time for the ceremony and festival should be shortened to focus on media and advertising effects.
