Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Council term 2021-2026 convenes 6th session
The People’s Council of Quang Ninh province convened its 6th session this morning under the chairmanship of the provincial Party Secretary cum Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, to review the implementation of socio-economic tasks this year and put forth tasks and solutions for 2022.
Prominent among those were Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Delegation Ngo Hoang Ngan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuong Van, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Trinh Thi Minh Thanh.
As planned, the session will review the implementation of socio-economic tasks this year and put forth tasks and solutions for 2022.
The councillors will also look at local budget collection and spending this year and budget collection and spending estimates for 2022, among other issues.
In his opening remarks, the provincial Party Secretary cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyen Xuan Ky lauded the province’s efforts in fighting COVID-19 and promoting economic recovery and development during the year. Quang Ninh has become one of the outstanding localities succeeding in implementing Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control measures and reaching "dual goals" of containing the pandemic and restarting the economy.
Quang Ninh's GRDP growth in 2021 is estimated at 10.28%. State budget revenue is estimated at over VND 51,000 billion, exceeding the target assigned by the Central Government and the Provincial People's Council at the beginning of the year and standing among the leading localities nationwide.
The Party Secretary underlined that greater efforts should be made to further simplify administrative procedures, increase competitiveness, and improve the performance of the People’s Council in the coming year.
