.On August 27th, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Thang, hosted a courtesy reception for Chief Representative of JICA’s Vietnam Office, Konaka Tetsuo.
At the reception, Quang Ninh’s Chairman, Nguyen Van Thang, expressed his sincere thanks to JICA for being along with the province in particular and Vietnam in general for years. JICA’s loans and official development assistance (ODA) helped Quang Ninh carry out many important projects contributing to boost socio-economic development and environmental protection. For example, Bai Chay Bridge, the first phase of Water Drainage and Waste Water Treatment Project in Ha Long City. He also emphasized that healthy environment currently is Quang Ninh’s top concern.
Chief Representative of JICA’s Vietnam Office, Konaka Tetsuo, affirmed that JICA will continue accompanying Quang Ninh in the future to realize new plans and reach new targets, thus tightening cooperation between Japan and Vietnam.
