The blood donation campaign “Red Sunday” was held on Jan 20 in Ha Long city.
Over 500 blood donors, including youth from provincial departments, and Ha Long city students, and other young people working in army force units provincewide took part in the event. With the theme “Donate blood to save people’s life”, the 9th campaign is a sinificant event that aims to call for people at all levels to donate their blood, helping to ease blood shortages in hospitals in the province during and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays.
As planned, the blood donation campaign will run through the whole January in Ha Long and Uong Bi cities and Dong Trieu town. It is expected to provide about 1,000 blood units to the hospitals during and after the Tet holiday.
