By 2020, Quang Ninh has become one of three localities with the highest modernization rate and the only one to have four cities. Comprehensively improved infrastructure, new urban areas, industrial zones and tourism areas have contributed to change urban look of the province.
To turn Ha Long into a civilized, modern, attractive and friendly tourism centre, in recent years, the city have prioritized resources for traffic infrastructure development. Along with the road around Bai Tho Mountain and Tran Quoc Nghien Coastal Ring Road, all main traffic routes of the city have been upgraded or expanded in sync with replacing greeneries, to replace green trees, sidewalks and undergrounding technical and telecommunications infrastructure. Thank to synchronous investment, some roads become typical, wide, clean and beautiful. This will be premise for Quang Ninh to become a municipal city belonging to cental government prior to 2030.
