Quang Ninh’s people are practicing social distancing during this period. The authorities have been enhancing measures to ensure the efficiency of social distancing, including heavy fines on violators.
Apart from the majority of people who are following the Prime Minister and provincial authority’s guidelines on Covid-19 prevention and control, there are people not complying with social distancing rules.
In order to tighten the rules, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee issued Document No. 2160/UBND-PC dated Apr 5, 2020 requiring leaders of departments and sectors, and chairmen of people’s committees at districts, towns, and cities to intensify the implementation of the Government and the province’s guidelines on Covid-19 prevention and control.
Specifically, propaganda activities on social distancing, the limit of going out without justifiable reasons, wearing face masks, and regularly washing hands will be enhanced. Besides, acts of violation will be heavily condemned and fined.
On Apr 6, Ha Long’s functional bodies dealt with 173 violators, including 86 people not wearing face masks and 87 people leaving their houses without a justifiable reason. They also handled with non-essential stores ignoring social distancing rules.
Covid-19 prevention and control is in critical stage which needs unity and joint effort of entire community. It is responsibility of not only the whole political system, departments, offices, and organizations but also individuals. Therefore, intensifying heavy fines on social distancing violators is needed and it has received good response from the majority.
